Pursuant to gazette notice number 618 of 30th October, 2009, the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) is now offering for sale, 50,000 to 80,000 metric tones of grade A white maize and 800 metric tones of Paddy rice. The commodities are stocked in various locations (districts) throughout the country. The commodities will be sold on ex-warehouse and on first come first served basis. Eligibility: The commodities will be sold to anyone who does not owe FRA any money from previous transactions. Selling price: The Current Selling price for the maize is K70, 000 per 50kg bag or K1, 400,000 per metric tone and Paddy rice is gpoing at K85, 000 per 40Kg or Payment: Payment shall be strictly by cash or Bank Manager’s cheque. For details All transactions will be in Zambian Kwacha as required by Law. Bulk Purchases: Prospective bulk Buyers should clearly indicate the following details; 1) Quantity 2) Preferred pick up location Submissions clearly marked “SALE OF WHITE MAIZE/PADDY RICE – 2010” and addressed to the Executive Director must be delivered at the FRA Head Office in Lusaka or the Regional Offices located at addresses listed below. Community Sales: Prospective Buyers should visit our depots in all districts and make their orders to FRA Provincial Marketing Coordinators, Marketing Assistants or Warehouse Managers. The sales close on 31st March, 2010 The FRA reserves the right to reject any application or limit the quantities awarded without giving reasons. |
